Elaine J. Clinger Sturtz is an Elder in the United Methodist Church in the West Ohio Conference having served churches in Marysville, Cincinnati, Celina, Bexley, Reynoldsburg and Pickerington.  Rev. Sturtz is also a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in private practice.  She began a counseling ministry in Pickerington at Peace UMC – Peace Within Counseling Ministry.

Elaine has a B.A. in Theology from Otterbein University and a Masters of Divinity and Masters of Arts in Counseling Ministry from The Methodist Theological School in Ohio.

 Rev. Sturtz was a Hospice Chaplain for six years.  Through her counseling, pastoral care and hospice experience, Elaine has walked the journey of dying and grief with many families.  Her own journey through the death of her beloved grandmother, her parents, dear friends, a grandson and her husband has given her a deeper understanding of the journey of grief both personally and professionally.

 Elaine is the author of 3 devotional books.  Love Lighted Path shares the influence of her grandmother on her faith and journey.  Glimpses of God shares how we encounter God through the everyday glimpses of life.  The Final Dance of Life is the journey through the care of a colleague in ministry with ALS and how the Church became the Body of Christ.  Elaine is the author of Living In The Different, a book on grief and loss.  Her 5th book, Life Lessons of a Lone Trooper shares the stories and life lessons of her husband, Dave and how a person leaves a legacy through the fruit of their labor. Her 6th book, Live Different Moments - shares steps into living fully and abundantly in the life that is now in front of you.
